The newest spate in gun violence and gun-related deaths is not an indication that Barbados is under siege.
This reassurance is coming from Commissioner of Police Richard Boyce, who says recent incidents are serious, but remain concentrated among individuals in conflict with each other.
And he says lawmen are stepping up their game to intercept and disrupt those activities before they bring any further harm to society.
He made this position clear while addressing a press conference at Police Headquarters today.
