The Senate has approved the Protection of Wages Bill, legislation the Government says will modernise Barbados’ labour laws while strengthening protections for workers.
But, as CBC’s Deanzer Roberts reports, the debate also sparked calls for reforms to the work permit system and greater transparency in labour administration.
