More than three trillion Barbados dollars is owed to Barbados for the unpaid labour of 792,000 enslaved Barbadians.
That’s according to lead researcher with Public Interest Experts Inc., Dr. Coleman Bazelon, who conducted a study to determine the figure.
He shared his findings during his presentation titled Reparations Owed to Barbados at the launch of this year’s Season of Emancipation at Golden Grove Plantation last evening.
