Government has moved to introduce comprehensive measures in the 2026-2027 Budget to protect citizens from escalating electricity and fuel costs stemming from rising global prices, due to the war in the Middle East.
However, University of the West Indies economist, Dr. Antonio Alleyne, is warning that consumers could still be paying more for goods, and very soon.
He told CBC’s Anesta Henry in an exclusive interview.
