Fifty new job opportunities will be created with the opening of the new Chefette restaurant at Newton, Christ Church.
The development is expected to boost employment in the community and bring the company’s total staff complement to more than 1,100 employees.
Construction of the multi-million-dollar restaurant began earlier this month and is scheduled for completion next summer, coinciding with Chefette’s 55th anniversary.
According to a company release, the new outlet will cover more than 11,000 square feet of restaurant, drive-through and playground space, on an expansive 80,000-square-foot site.
The state-of-the-art facility will feature a full-service restaurant, 70 parking spaces and seating for 114 people indoors and 36 outdoors.
Chefette management says the new outlet will serve as a hub for food and family entertainment, while contributing to economic growth and community development in Newton and the wider Christ Church area.
