Some of the island’s young calypsonians continue to benefit from a mentorship programme through the C.O. Williams House Of Soca.
Tent Manager Sharon Carew-White says the initiative is about paying it forward and preserving the art form.
She explains that every artist who comes through the tent’s Junior Calypso Monarch Programme is expected to return, teach and mentor the younger artistes.
