Barbados recorded 202 new COVID-19 cases (94 males and 108 females) on Friday, July 8th, out of the 666 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.
Of that number, there are 53 patients under the age of 18, and 149 who are 18 years and older. There are now 53 people in isolation facilities and 1,589 in home isolation.
To date, the public health laboratory has carried out 710,449 tests since February 2020, and recorded 85,881 cases (39,294 males and 46,587 females) of COVID-19.
Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of people with at least one dose is 162,705 (71.2 per cent of the eligible population). The total number of people who are fully vaccinated is 153,672 (56.7 per cent of the total population, or 67.3 per cent of the eligible population).
