Barbadians are being reminded that preparing today can make a significant difference tomorrow.

That was the message from the Director of the Department of Emergency Management, Kerry Hinds.

She was speaking to the joint congregation of St. Aidan’s Anglican Church and St. Joseph Parish Church on disaster planning this morning.

In addition to urging the church to act now, by stocking up, she also encouraged the congregation to ensure their house and surroundings were taken care of.

Stressing that developing a plan is essential, Ms Hinds noted people need to be resilient not only for themselves but for others in the community.
