All schools will remain open tomorrow.
The announcement came from Chief Education Officer Dr Ramona Archer-Bradshaw during a press conference at the Ministry of Education.
This follows industrial action taken by some members of the Barbados Union of Teachers (BUT) today, which is expected to continue through tomorrow.
Dr. Archer-Bradshaw says she has contacted the principal of the Erdiston Teachers’ Training College to arrange for trainees to sit with students who may be affected.
Yesterday, the BUT issued an ultimatum to the Ministry to reinstate teachers’ term’s leave by the end of the business day, or it would proceed with two days of strike action.
