Barbados’ Ambassador to CARICOM, David Comissiong has welcomed the designation of a second International Decade for People of African Descent (IDPAD).
The aim of the decade, adopted by a United Nations General Assembly Resolution, is to promote human rights and justice for people of African descent.
Ambassador Comissiong says the matter is one Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley has championed.
He says achievements have been marked by the region during the first decade.
