In the next few weeks, Barbadians can expect to see increased road works across the country.
Word of this from Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Works Santia Bradshaw.
Last year, road works began under the Mill and Pave Programme on roads that did not require major rehabilitation.
Minister Bradshaw says a new set of work began today in Chelston Avenue and Free Hill, both in St. Michael.
She says this is the beginning of an accelerated programme of work, which in some cases will be complex work and will require drainage and other road improvements.
Other roads will be straightforward mill and pave projects.
