This festive season, Barbadians are being encouraged to give the gift of blood.
The appeal from Director of Clinical and Diagnostic Services at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Dr. the Most Honourable Corey Forde.
He says as people get busy with Christmas-related activities, the Blood Collection Centre, which has moved to the Hospital’s Belleville Annex, usually sees a fall-off in donations.
Dr. Forde has also offered some advice on making healthy choices during the season.
