Barbadians must plan for events that may arise.
That’s according to Minister in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs Ryan Straughn, as he led off debate on the Insurance (Amendment) Bill, 2025.
He says whether it be life, house, or motor insurance, insurance is a matter that ought to be taken seriously, given the events of the last seven years.
Minister Straughn says the amendments to the Bill reflect international changes in the insurance industry.
He has pledged to continue bringing solutions to Barbadians, despite acknowledging there is still more work to do.
He also stated that the Barbados Labour Party has served as the insurance policy for the people of Barbados over the past seven years.
The Bill was later passed.
