Barbados continues to press for a scaling up of adaptation finance taking its message to a pre-cop meeting in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The meeting brought together ministers to discuss key political aspects of the negotiations, to find solutions to outstanding issues and to set the tone for the upcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference of Parties set for next month.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office with Responsibility for Culture, Senator Dr. Shantal Munro-Knight told the forum the right sizing of the financial architecture is required along with the global governance system.
Minister Munro-Knight stressed the need for collaboration across ministries and climate budgeting.
