All Barbadians are out of semi-final contention in the BTMI Barbados Surf Pro at Soup Bowl in Bathsheba.
The Burke brothers were the last hope, but riding out the waves in the quarter-finals today, Josh and Jacob were beaten in their heats.
Josh lost to Mexican Lucas Cassity in heat two, after posting a wave total 10.67, with a best score of 6.67.
Cassity progressed to tomorrow’s semi-finals with a winning total of 11.17.
In heat four, Jacob fought hard against Lucca Mesinas from Peru, but the home boy lost by four-tenths of a point.
Jacob scored a total of 12.04, with his best wave reading 6.87.
Meantime in the Live Like Zander Junior Pro, Barbadian Tommaso Layson was eliminated in the quarter-finals when he finished fourth in heat two with a total of 8.84.
His best wave score was 5.17.
