Barbados is the only country that has a sustainable programme for the development of agriculture and food security in the region.
The comment came from the Inter-American Institute for Co-operation in Agriculture’s (IICA) Representative in Barbados, Allister Glean, as he addressed the opening ceremony on Agri Business Day in the Sky Mall seminar room today.
An initiative of the Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme, in collaboration with IICA, it brings together a number of young people for an eight-week exercise.
