A Barbadian diplomat says the island’s hosting of the upcoming fifteenth session of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD 15) signals the island is ready to take on an important role in ensuring countries emerge from the pandemic stronger and more resilient.
Ambassador to the United Nations and the World Trade Organisation Chad Blackman says the virtual conference will play an important role in reshaping all of the issues relating to trade and development.
During an appearance on CBC TV8’s Mornin’ Barbados, he shared some insight into what to expect at the conference.
