Barbados has recorded another road fatality for 2025.
A fatal road traffic collision occurred about 2:40 a.m. today, Friday, February 7, 2025, along Paradise Road, St. George involving a double cab motor van.
Police said “the driver of the motor van was travelling along Paradise Road going in the direction of Applewaites when on reaching a point in the road overtook another vehicle, lost control of the motor van and was thrown from his vehicle. Ambulance personnel were summoned to the scene but found no signs of life. A medical doctor pronounced death.
“The front and rear seat passengers complained of injury and were transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) also by Ambulance personnel.
“Police are still on the scene and the road has been cordoned off as investigations are presently ongoing. Motorists are asked to use an alternate route.”
They have not released the identity of the driver at this time.
