The Barbados Scouts Association has launched a Green Skill Project that will see seedlings distributed to one thousand households throughout the island.
The project is in partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund and the World Scout Movement.
Chief Commissioner of the Association, Trevor Jones, says they are giving Barbadians the tools to plant what they eat and in the process, promoting healthier lifestyles.
Speaking from Sky Mall, one of the two distribution points today, he said this can also promote food security.
He is encouraging people to report on the project every two weeks.
The Association is heading to the north next weekend.
