Addressing the official ceremony, Minister of Economic Affairs and Investment Kay McConney encouraged those gathered to enjoy the day’s offerings and take time to learn as much as possible about the Barbados story.
She also highlighted some of the partnerships Barbados and Japan have formed.
Expo 2025 Osaka, which commenced on April 13, will run until October 13, 2025. During the event, official participants, including countries, regions, and international organisations, will hold a national or special day.
Entertainers Edwin Yearwood and Nikita performed for the audience, many of whom waved Barbados’ national flags.
