The Ministry of Agriculture, the Barbados Agricultural Society and other stakeholders are working together to increase dairy production on the island.
In December, the BAS and its commodity groups imported 180 heifers with calf from the Walker Dairy in Canada.
This is the fourth time they are attempting to do so, and they are also looking at how best to improve nutrition and foraging for the cattle.
