Residents of Sandbox Avenue, Bayville, St. Michael, are shocked at the killing of one of their own, Akil Hinds.
According to police reports, the 36-year-old father of one, of that same address, was sitting on the bonnet of a car when he was approached by an armed person wearing a mask.
That person discharged a number of gunshots that struck Hinds, who was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a private motorcar, where he succumbed to his injuries.
As police continue investigations into the death, residents have openly voiced concerns about the tragedy that struck their neighbourhood.

Another friend is also remembering Hinds as a family man who always offered good advice to those who called on him.
Residents say Hinds worked raising the Chamberlain Bridge in Bridgetown.
