Members of staff of the Barbados Community College (BCC) are engaged in industrial action at this time.
The action stems from the decision of management to fill a vacant post.
Principal Annette Alleyne says the college’s main priority remains ensuring that students’ learning experience and access to essential services are supported as much as possible.
The BCC remains optimistic that, through continued dialogue with the staff and their representatives, an agreement can be reached that supports both the well-being of staff and the college’s ability to deliver relevant, high-quality education and training to the people of Barbados and the region.
