Staff of the Barbados Community College were off the job today, protesting the institution’s recent decision to fill a vacant post, among other outstanding grievances.
They bore placards in hand, supported by representatives of the National Union of Public Workers.
BCC has issued a statement this evening indicating that management received a request and has agreed to meet with the NUPW tomorrow at 10:30 a.m.
Principal Annette Alleyne says classes went ahead today despite protest action by some staff members.
