President of the Barbados National Union of Fisherfolk Organisation, Vernel Nicholls, says fish prices are higher than usual this Easter because there is a severe scarcity.
Nicholls tells CBC News while BARNUFO is aware that members of the public are critical of the high prices, vendors sympathize with them.
She was speaking on the sidelines of the Barbados Coastal Fisheries Resilience project launch.
And BARNUFO is hoping more fish becomes readily available in the markets as the Easter holidays approach.
