The Barbados Fire Service is calling for the public’s support as it works to improve fire safety on the island.
Deputy Chief Fire Officer, Henderson Patrick says the Fire Service as part of its mandate has been engaging the public in this regard in a bid to reduce fires.
Efforts will continue as the service prepares to mark its 70th anniversary this year.
Several other activities are planned to observe the milestone 70 years of the Barbados Fire Service.
A highlight will be a symbolic march in the city along with the unveiling of a mural.
Divisional Officer, Marlon Small says the mural will highlight the theme, acknowledge the past, acclaim the present and adapt to the future.
