The way in which personnel at the Barbados Fire Service and Emergency Services Complex operate will be significantly influenced by the nearby schools.
This was revealed by Minister of Home Affairs and Information, Wilfred Abrahams, while speaking at a sensitisation seminar for the Fire Service at Erdiston Teachers’ Training College.
Minister Abrahams also praised the Fire Service for its ongoing commitment to community engagement across the island.
He encouraged officers to transform the insights gained into action, becoming big brothers, friends and mentors to the children in their surrounding communities.
