Barbados Labour Party candidate in the St. James North by-election, Chad Blackman, has responded to criticism from the opposing Democratic Labour Party about his appearance and decision to embark on a healthy lifestyle journey.
He is refocusing the narrative to the issues he has mandated in his campaign.
Speaking at a meeting in Ashton Hall, St. Peter, Blackman said he is to be judged by the work he has been doing and intends to do for the constituents, and not by how he looks.
