The Barbados Meteorological Services (BMS) continues to closely monitor a tropical wave located near 36W, south of 16N, approximately 2,450 km (1,520 miles) east of Barbados today.
This tropical wave is expected to affect the region around the middle of next week.
However, there are currently no watches or warnings in effect for Barbados associated with this system at this time.
The tropical wave in the central Atlantic has an associated broad area of low pressure near 12N, 36W, and continues to produce disorganised convection.
BMS reports that most model guidance still indicates some slow development and a westward motion over the weekend.
However, there remains some uncertainty in the longer-term track of this system.
The public is encouraged to continue monitoring official sources for updates in the coming days.
