Halfway through the 2024 Atlantic Hurricane Season, Barbados has been warned of a significant vulnerability in its disaster response mechanism.
Former Member of Parliament Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Bostic says it lies in the level of preparedness at the community level.

Lieutenant Colonel Bostic was addressing the annual general meeting of the Barbados Labour Party’s St. Philip South branch.
He offered several suggestions for how the problem could be addressed.
