The Barbados Postal Service is warning the public to beware of a social media scam.
In a release, the BPS says a fraudulent scheme is circulating on various platforms, purporting that it is offering lost parcels for sale.
The Postal Service says these posts are entirely false and misleading.
The Postmaster General has emphasised the BPS does not engage in the sale of lost parcels or any other parcels, whether online or at any of its locations and the dissemination of this false information appears to be an attempt to deceive and exploit unsuspecting individuals.
The public is advised to exercise caution and avoid interacting with any such posts, links, or offers.
The BPS says it remains committed to serving the public with transparency and integrity and official updates and information regarding its services are disseminated exclusively through authorised channels.
