The Barbados Public Workers’ Co-operative Credit Union Limited, as it marks its 55th anniversary, is boasting of assets nearing two billion dollars.
President of the Board of Directors, Mark Hope, views this as significant in today’s modern era.
He provided insight into the growth of the credit union, which he says originated from humble beginnings to become the largest credit union not only in Barbados but in the Eastern Caribbean.
He says that while the credit union is facing the challenges modern businesses encounter, it is about managing those risks.
Mr. Hope was delivering remarks during an anniversary church service at the Carrington Wesleyan Holiness Church in Welches, St. Michael.
