Brace for more heat during September

September 8, 2024

September is likely to be our hottest month but we should see a decline in temperatures for the rest of the year.

This prediction tonight from Deputy Director of the Barbados Meteorological Services, Brian Murray. He says they have been tracking temperatures since May and sharing their assessment on social media platforms.

There has been concern about an alarming viral video which states that serious health issues could occur, because of the ongoing heat. While not commenting or referring to that post, Mr. Murray says things will get hotter this month.

Mr. Murray is also telling Barbadians any information on how to deal with the temperatures will come from the Ministry of Health and Wellness.
