A partial collapse of the road at Melvin’s Hill Bridge, St Joseph, brought traffic heading across the bridge to a halt Monday evening after the collapse was discovered.
No through traffic is currently allowed across the bridge.
Parliamentary Representative and Attorney General Dale Marshall, says it is particularly inconvenient due to other ongoing repairs to neighbouring roads.
Mr Marshall says this is symptomatic of the issues in the Scotland District and notes this now hastens rebuilding of the Bridge.
The Bridge is being redesigned by the engineers working on the Scotland District project.
