Bridgetown is on the verge of major change, with confirmation that at least four hundred million dollars will be spent on two major projects.
Last year it was announced that the Hyatt Ziva Hotel, to be built on Bay Street, was going ahead. In addition, condominiums would be constructed at Carlisle Bay.
According to the Chair of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Revitalisation Committee, Eddy Abed, besides these major properties, other new businesses will help to change the face of the capital city within the next five years.
He was speaking alongside Bryan Worrell, President of the Barbados Association of Masqueraders and Bandleaders, on The People’s Business during a discussion on “Crop Over: Culture and Commerce”.
