Monday, March 10 is the date for the Budgetary Proposals and Financial Statement 2025, or Budget Day.
And it will not be delivered by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley this time around; instead Minister in the Ministry of Finance Ryan Straughn will do so in Parliament.
Prime Minister Mottley made the announcement this afternoon at State House, where she witnessed the swearing in of Government’s newest Senator Jonathan Reid, who will serve as Minister of Industry, Innovation, Science and Technology.
The Prime Minister says Minister Straughn will be delivering the Budget this year, as she wanted to give someone else the opportunity to execute the task, one of the most important events on the national calendar.
The Budget Speech is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m.
