The Barbados Water Authority completed repairs to a large diameter main at Mango Drive, Porters, St. James, around 3 a.m. this morning.
The large diameter main is a transmission main which moves water along the Highway One corridor.
As a result, the BWA advised customers in Speightstown, Battaleys, Mullins, Heywoods, Gibbs, Lower Carlton, Porters, The Garden, Mount Standfast, Weston, Roadview and surrounding areas that they may be affected by a water outage or low pressure.
Water tankers were deployed to assist.
Meanwhile, workmen have also completed repairs to a 20-inch main at Odessa McClean Drive, My Lord’s Hill, St. Michael, which was damaged on May 29th, and also to a fifteen-inch main at the Pine Plantation Road, St. Michael.
