The Barbados Water Authority is working towards increasing the country’s water resilience to climate change, with a focus on non-revenue water reduction.
This is being pursued through a Non-Revenue Water Project funded by the Inter-American Development Bank.
Project Manager in the BWA’s Project Management Office, Mrs. Shelly Parris, said their first objective is to enhance resilience and reliability in the potable water distribution system.
Mrs. Parris was speaking during a public stakeholder engagement session as they seek to raise awareness about the upcoming project.
She added that under Component Two, the focus will be on non-revenue water management.
