The Barbados Workers’ Union (BWU) is partnering with the 2025 We Gatherin’ initiative and will host its annual May Day celebrations in Pool Woods, St. John, on May 1.
Entrepreneurs will play a major role in this year’s event.
BWU’s Communications and Information Specialist, Miracle-Ann King, says one of the main attractions at this year’s May Day celebrations is a Workers’ Village, created by the Barbados Port Inc.
Communications and Information Manager, Cheyne Jones, noted that the event was held at the National Botanical Gardens over the past two years, but the BWU is the first organisation to host an event at the newly transformed venue.
