A call tonight for authorities to face and address core issues driving nurses to leave the profession and causing new individuals not to pursue the career.
It is coming from Director of Nursing Services at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Henderson Pinder, who is declaring the nursing profession is undervalued, underfunded, and underutilised.
Pinder made the call to action while addressing the Barbados Nurses Association Education Seminar and Awards, at the Barbados Beach Club.
