Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley is hopeful any Barbadians who are subject to deportation from the United States under President Donald Trump’s mass policy will be handled with dignity.
However, she’s made it clear each country has the right to pursue its own policies and protect its own laws.
She was responding to reporters following the presentation of National Honours for We Gatherin’ 2025 to ten St. Lucy residents.
The Pride of Barbados Awards were presented at State House.
The Prime Minister has also commented on President Trump’s declaration of a 90-day freeze on all international aid.
