There is a bold twelve-month call to action for media houses.
It is coming from the Chairman of the Barbados Broadcasting Authority, Dr. Hon. Allyson Leacock, who says there are four steps media houses must take to keep up with the rapidly changing dynamics of the sector.
She proposed the measures while delivering remarks on the topic, “Media and the Orange Economy: the Role of the State”, at the Caribbean Broadcasting Union’s Annual General Assembly.
And by March 2026, Dr Leacock wants to see the Caribbean Broadcasting Union launching the Media and AI Lab and the Caribbean Content Wallet pilot with three cross-border co-productions.
