Government’s drive for a carbon neutral Barbados is at an advanced stage.
A pilot programme for consultations for terms and conditions of the procurement process will come to the public later this year.
It came out of a report from technocrats of the World Bank and Inter-American Development Bank at a recent meeting with the Ministry of Energy and Business Development at the Ministry’s offices at Warrens.
Renewable Energy Expert Mauro Soares gave details of the progress.
He says the renewable energy space holds investment opportunities in generation and storage, which would be owned and developed by the private sector.
