Barbados Prime Minister and CARICOM Chairman, Mia Amor Mottley, is among Caribbean leaders who met with the Government of Brazil in the capital Brasília for a high-level summit.
The meeting was held on the margins of the just-concluded 55th Annual Meeting of the Caribbean Development Bank.
During the summit, Prime Minister Mottley called for a sustained coalition and a new pact to address environmental damage.
She stressed the need for renewed global dialogue and scientifically informed responses to today’s environmental and security challenges.
Topics discussed included food and nutritional security, climate change, energy transition, risk and disaster management, and connectivity.
