The vision is clear and compelling; the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation must become a digitally empowered, multi-platform voice, reaching Barbadians wherever they are, at home and across the diaspora.
That’s according to Chairman of the CBC Transformation Steering Committee, the Honourable Dr. Allyson Leacock.
She says achieving this demands innovative content creation, cutting-edge digital distribution, and pioneering data casting technology.
Dr. Leacock conveyed this message to CBC workers during a general meeting to update them on the way forward for the state-owned corporation.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Board, David Alleyne, says the new vision for CBC must have buy-in from workers.
And Chairman of the CBC Transformation Implementation Committee, Oliver Jordan, says a business case outlining the broad vision for CBC, how the corporation will get there, and the cost to do so, is currently being finalised for Government.
