As the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation begins in earnest its transition to a more modern broadcast entity tomorrow, some members of staff were made redundant today.
However, some employees have been retained as the corporation embarks on a process aimed at enhancing CBC’s ability to develop and distribute high-quality content while delivering a superior experience to audiences in an increasingly digital world.
Commenting on today’s developments, Chief Executive Officer Sanka Price expressed his gratitude to the staff who will not be returning for their service and thanked those continuing for their commitment to CBC’s modernisation.
