Over 303 million US dollars has been approved in new projects by the Caribbean Development Bank in 2024.
President Daniel Best says the capital deployed was targeted, transformative, and timely.
He was speaking at the opening of the 55th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors in Brazil.
Governor of Barbados for the CDB, Minister in the Ministry of Finance, Ryan Straughn, is representing the island at the meeting.
The meeting is being held under the theme Building the Future: Resilient Institutions for a Greener, Stronger and Inclusive Caribbean.
Mr. Best stressed the need for institutions to adapt in real time, becoming strong, adaptive, and inclusive.
He says the CDB is undergoing a bold transformation.
