As local manufacturers brace for the impact of United States President Donald Trump’s tariffs to take effect, at least one business stalwart says his company is watching and making the necessary adjustments.
That’s according to Managing Director of Chefette Restaurants Limited, Ryan Haloute.
He says his company has put contingency plans in place for any shortfall, including using alternate suppliers where possible.
Additionally, Mr. Haloute says there is no scope for new products at the moment, and as soon as plans for their location in Newton, Christ Church are confirmed, there will be a public announcement.
He says their brands have been picking up momentum, although Frosteez Ice Cream remains the baby product.
