Churches band together to help schoolchildren

Some 15 Baptist Churches from St. Peter to Bridgetown, have been working together to assist school-aged children with book bags.

The children who attend the Bethany Baptist Church in St. Peter and from the nearby Rosehill environs were accommodated with those at primary school being the focus.

Church members assisted with the handing out of the backpacks to the girls and boys who were very happy to receive them.

There was also a service to celebrate the children and wish them well as they prepared for the new school year.
