Minister of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs, Kirk Humphrey has called for more extensive collaboration in policy development.
He says the input of citizens is critical.
Minister Humphrey was at the time addressing the Youth Data Literacy Workshop at UN House.
The one-day session, organised by the United Nations Population Fund, was aimed at engaging young Barbadians in utilising population data for evidence-based advocacy.
Liaison Officer for Barbados at the UNFPA’s Sub-Regional Office for the Caribbean De-Jane Gibbons says data literacy is an essential skill for empowering Barbadians to make a difference in their communities.
